Historic recordings (1947 & 1951) of string quartet built from members of Toscanni's fabled NBC Symphony Orchestra. They paved the way for other professional chamber ensembles in the US, but disbanded in 1954 to pursue individual careers. Clarinetist Alfred Gallodoro (1-4) also came from the NBC SO.
